Task 3 – Design Pack

My space station will be circular in the centre which will be the command centre with two corridors which will move into an outer ring which will circle around the centre and have square rooms off of them which have each of the quarters which are the food quarters, the sleeping quarters, medical and storage quarters and leisure quarters these all have there own oxygen supplies incase one of the part of the ship is destroyed. The ship can sustain up to 30 crew members when it is on a planet it attaches itself to the ground for how long it is there. The station has a top of the standard AI which takes control when the captain makes it or when the ship is in danger. In the situation the only thing still on the ship is the AI who is controlling the ship and believes everyone is still on board when in fact it is a ghost ship.

Task 2 – Setting Research and Ideas Generation

I have chosen my setting to be a space station as its Spacestation Set in the distant future, but designed like a 1970s vision of the future, featuring over-the-top, dated futuristic technology. It is clear that something has caused the crew to leave suddenly.

This is the space station I will use for inspiration for my space station. I will use a similar design to the space station as well as similar textures.

This is what one of the sleeping quarters it will look like this as itll look like the crew has vanished without a trace without their personal belongings.

This is what the kitchen will look like except it'll be on a larger scale to fit in the whole crew it will look like it was just left with food still on the side ready to be eaten.

The control room will look similar to this it'll be left on auto pilot so the ship is drifting through space by itself.



The interior of my spaaceship and the design will be similar to the Hermes in the Martian.


It will also be similar to 2001: A Space Odyssey spacestation.
